I graduated from the University of Washington with a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and German literature. Directly after graduating in March 2014 I moved to Tübingen, Germany to be closer to my then boyfriend (now husband). I had met him while doing my junior year at UW abroad at the University of Tübingen.

After moving to Tübingen I was able to make the first hand experience of seeing how difficult it is to get one's credits and degree accepted in another country. But for all those looking to do the same I have good news, it did work out eventually and in February 2017 I graduated with a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tübingen.

Shortly thereafter, I began working as a psychologist in a neurological rehabilitation clinic in the black forest (Schwarzwald). I am proud to say that I have been working there for a year and a half and am currently the lead psychologist in the clinic with an average of 60 patients. My patients are there for a variety of reasons, the main ones being rehabilitation after a stroke or having the disorder multiple sclerosis. My job is to motivate the patients and rebuild their self worth. As of December 2018, I will proudly be able to include myself to the licensed hypnotherapists in Germany. In February 2019, I am taking a crash course on behavioral therapy and will also be able to practice as a behavioral therapist thereafter.

My degree from the University of Washington as well as the support of my UW Professor parents, Richard Gray and Sabine Wilke, gave me the essentials I needed to come this far in such a short amount time as well as helping me keep up the courage to fight for my myself.

I can happily say, that I have found my new home away from home here. Any students or graduates visiting Germany or near Tübingen are also always welcome to get in touch with me!

Grüße aus Tübingen,

Cora
