Julius Rodriguez is a second-year MA student in the UW Department of Germanics. He earned his Bachelor’s in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies at the University of Washington and spent four years working at Seattle Colleges in student life and multicultural programs.

Julius migrated to the U.S. 15 years ago after growing up in both East and West Germany and spending a year in New Zealand. His volunteer and community work includes serving on screening committees with 3 Dollar Bill Cinema and reviewing grants and scholarships for GSBA/Pride Foundation.

His career and research interests include cultural studies, equity, diversity and inclusion, anti-racist pedagogy, intercultural communication, intergroup dialogue, and EDI facilitation.
