Biography

B.A., German Language and Literature, Colby College, 2009

After receiving his BA from Colby College in 2009 and spending several years teaching English abroad in Austria and Hong Kong, Justin joined the department in 2013. His MA thesis addressed modes of perception, recognition, and tolerance in Lessing's Nathan der Weise. Since being awarded his MA in 2015, he has begun work on a project exploring the animal-human divide in the literature of German Romanticism. He is currently serving as lead TA and teaching German 111.
